WELCOME TO THE OFFICE OF COUNSELING,
CAREER, AND TRANSFER SERVICES

The Office of Counseling, Career and Transfer Services provides a comprehensive range of services to assist students in choosing a career, major, transfer college options and/or employment plans. Career assessments, individual counseling, transfer/academic advising, job search, resume writing, and interview assistance are available. In addition we also offer:

FOCUS Career Tool (A web-based career planning program):

  • Inventories to explore interests and experiences
  • Extensive information about occupations
  • Values-based career exploration

CGCC CareerLink - Career Management System for Students, Alumni and Employers

C-GCC CareerLink for Students and Alumni:

  • Search job & internship listings
  • Search C-GCC Scholarship opportunities
  • Check out the events calendar
  • Upload resumes and apply for jobs
  • Create a job search agent and have opportunities e-mailed
    to you automatically
  • Access CCT print resources in the document library

Career Planning Course (CP 102)

    This three-credit hour course will help you:

  • Understand the career development process
  • Know your interests, values, and needs
  • Choose a career
  • Make decisions
  • Set goals for the future
  • Be prepared to enter the job market

Career Experience Field Study (CP 112)

  • Provides students with direct exposure to an actual job situation in a career of interest.
  • Students are placed in a site for 45, 90, or 135 hours. These hours translate into 1, 2, or 3 credits respectively.
