2020 Juried Student Art Show

The 24th annual Juried Art Show at Columbia-Greene Community College will open on Tuesday, Jan. 21 in the Foundation Gallery on the C-GCC campus.
Sponsored by college’s Fine Arts program, this event invites art students from surrounding high schools to show their work and compete for prize money. Artwork on display is selected by the art department heads of each participating high school, resulting in a wide variety of media, approaches, and subjects.
Cairo-Durham, Catskill, Chatham, Coxsackie-Athens, Germantown, Greenville, Hudson, Ichabod Crane, New Lebanon, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Saugerties, Taconic Hills, and Windham-Ashland-Jewett school districts, as well as The Darrow School in New Lebanon, will participate in the show.
Karen Davis, curator/co-founder of Davis Orton Gallery in Hudson will serve as this year’s juror, and the Foundation Gallery will award $600 in prizes for first, second, and third place, three honorable mentions, and a Director’s Prize. The awards will be presented at 4:30 p.m. on January 21 at a ceremony in The Foundation Gallery; in the event of inclement weather, the opening and awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23.
