An Evening with The Felice Brothers
April 11 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pmAdmission: $25
Folk-country rock band The Felice Brothers have stops in Denmark, Ireland, Germany, Norway, and Sweden on their current international tour, and now, they’ve added Hudson, N.Y. to the schedule.
On Saturday, April 11, core members Ian and James Felice, who hail from Palenville, and their band-mates Jesske Hume and Will Lawrence will perform at Columbia-Greene Community College’s Arts Center Theatre. The band is currently promoting their latest album, Undress, which was recorded in Germantown and nominated for Best International Album of the Year by Americana Music Association UK this November.
In their 13-year run, The Felice Brothers have performed at such well-heeled festivals as the Newport Folk Festival, Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands Music and Art Festival, among others. They’ve played with the likes of the Dave Matthews Band and The Old Crow Medicine Show, and in 2013, their cover of The Drifters’ This Magic Moment was featured in a television commercial for Dell.
Amanda Karch, events specialist at C-GCC, said the show is the second of the new CoGreene Presents concert series, which endeavors to highlight accomplished musicians with ties to the local area.
“This performance continues our showcase of artists who have roots in the Hudson Valley and call our community home,” said Karch, noting that last spring, Woodstock-based singer-songwriter Amy Helm kicked off the series at C-GCC – 36 years after her father, Levon Helm, played the same stage.
The Felice Brothers show begins at 7 p.m., and general admission tickets are $25, or $20 for students. Tickets may be purchased online at tinyurl.com/FeliceBrothers.
