ARTFUL PRESENTS- The Students of Bob Lahm 12 Local Artists and One Great C-GCC Foundation! Art sales at C-GCC’s community galleries give a 20% commission to the Columbia-Greene Community Foundation. Funds raised by the Foundation benefit the C-GCC Scholarship Fund and collegiate programs. In the spirit of the holiday season, the artists of “Artful Presents” have pledged to give 25% to the Foundation for any sales during this show. 2020 Juried Student Art Show

The 24th annual Juried Art Show at Columbia-Greene Community College will open on Tuesday, Jan. 21 in the Foundation Gallery on the C-GCC campus. Sponsored by college’s Fine Arts program, this event invites art students from surrounding high schools to show their work and compete for prize money. Artwork on display is selected by the art department heads of each participating high school, resulting in a wide variety of media, approaches, and subjects. 22nd Annual Twin County Science Expo

The Twin County Science Expo returns, showcasing outstanding student scientists and their experiments and projects from the 2019-2020 school year. A panel of expert judges will award prizes for first, second, third and fourth places at grade levels five through eight, along with a Best in Show Grand Prize. History of Ghent Bicentennial

In this beautifully illustrated talk, C-GCC Professor of English and Ghent Town Historian Gregg Berninger will present a lively talk exploring Ghent's settlements from its earliest days to now. Cornell Cooperative Extension Annual Spring Gardening Day

The 2020 Spring Gardening Day will feature keynote speaker Adam Wheeler, Horticulturist for Broken Arrow Nursery in Hamden, Connecticut. This event is hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia and Greene Counties' Master Gardener Volunteer Program. An Evening with The Felice Brothers

Folk-country rock band The Felice Brothers have stops in Denmark, Ireland, Germany, Norway, and Sweden on their current international tour, and now, they’ve added Hudson, N.Y. to the schedule. Eleanor Roosevelt: Humanitarian and Civil Rights Pioneer

Local historians Linda Bouchey and Al Vinick will explore the early role models who influenced a young Eleanor Roosevelt. This lecture will also discuss the First Lady's role in the early Civil Rights movement, her push for equal treatment for women and the poor, and her continued work in these areas even after Franklin Delano Roosevelt's death in 1945.
