In order to keep students and the public safe and healthy, the C-GCC Library has updated its COVID-19 policies and procedures.
At this time, the C-GCC Library remains open to students, staff, and faculty only, though the public can still borrow materials remotely.
To best accommodate students, faculty, and staff, the first floor of the library has been set up with social distancing protocols with a capacity of approximately 27 people, managed by tracking appointments made by calling 518.828.4181, extension 3286, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Library staff will retrieve materials from the shelves and check them out for patrons wishing to borrow. To return materials, both students and the public are asked to use the Book Return located outside the Main Building entrance on campus.
The Library’s hours during the Fall 2020 semester are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (on-campus), and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., (remote resources and services only). The Library is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
In addition, the C-GCC Library quarantines its materials for six days before returning items to the shelves, and follows specific guidelines put forth by SUNY Libraries and the REALM (REopening Archives, Libraries, and Museums) Project: conducted by OCLC, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and Battelle to produce science-based information about how materials can be handled to mitigate COVID-19 exposure to staff and visitors of archives, libraries, and museums.
