Boxwood Trees are known as versatile landscape shrubs for their ability to be precisely shaped. In the holiday season, moreover, they can also make the perfect centerpiece to any tabletop. If correctly trimmed and properly attended, a small Boxwood Tree can mimic an impeccable Evergreen Conifer in appearance. With precise decoration, it will become a wonderful display for the holidays.
Under the instruction of Angela Rapp of the Greenport Garden Club, students will be provided the opportunity to learn how to identify and care for a Boxwood Tree. This will ensure that the Boxwoods remain fresh and beautiful well into the New Year. Those in attendance are asked to bring small pruning shears and an apron. Decorations to customize a Boxwood Tree are suggested, but not required.
The Art of Boxwood Tree Making will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. only. There will be a $40 materials fee payable to the Greenport Garden Club by cash or check at class.
