Columbia-Greene Community College’s Vice President and Dean of Students and Enrollment Management Joseph Watson, Ph.D., has announced two New Student Orientation sessions at C-GCC.
These orientations are designed to introduce various campus resources and services to new students, and are held in the Hudson River Bank and Trust Dining Hall, located in the main building on campus.
Adult Student Orientation, Wednesday, August 21, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
This event will share information regarding campus resources available to ‘adult’ (or ‘non-traditional’) students, as well as introduce new students to the campus community as a whole. Speakers will include President Carlee R. Drummer, Ph.D.; Sean O’Connor, director of Dining Services, Nicole Childrose, associate professor of History at C-GCC, and many others.
Refreshments will be served, and the college bookstore will be open for purchases. Students will also have the opportunity to obtain their student ID.
New Student & Family Orientation, Friday, August 23, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Orientation 2019 will introduce new students to the campus community with the assistance of a group of Orientation Leaders, comprised of both students and staff. Breakout groups, interactive tours, and information sessions will be held throughout the day; refreshments will be available, and the event will conclude with lunch for new students, their families, and C-GCC faculty, staff, and administration.
